Keeping your body healthy is something that is very, very difficult – however, keeping your liver healthy is something that is even harder. What you might not know is that the liver has about 500 essential functions within your body but the main, main role of it is to get rid of all of the toxins in your body, meaning that your liver is almost like the filter in your body. The liver will eliminate all of the drugs in your bloodstream as well, so that is why it is very important that you keep this essential organ very healthy!
In order to maintain a very healthy liver, there are a few things that you need to do. Firstly, you need to stop the alcohol intake, as that passes through the liver. Next, you need to avoid other people’s blood or body fluids, which will stop hepatitis and also get vaccinated against hepatitis.
Next, make sure that you stay very healthy yourself and maintain a good weight, as that will help your body in the long run, especially your liver.

Massage cupping has been an alternative way to relieve pain for years in China and while most Americans shy away from massage cupping, I personally think that it could really assist with a lot of daily pains that you might be feeling every single day. For example, if you have chronic back pain, you could benefit from massage cupping. The entire process, while a little confusing at first is something that can be easily explained and that is exactly what we are going to explain below.
How massage cupping works is basically, it uses the power of suction to draw the blood into the cup. The area that is affected is going to be the place that receives the cupping action and as it draws the blood upward, it will supply all sorts of nutrients for healing and relieving your pain. Back pain, neck pain or really any other type of pain can really benefit from this Chinese alternative healing.
There are very few massage places that will actually offer up cupping services, however, if you do your research – you will be able to find a massage therapist that is certified in the art of cupping!

Sometimes, balancing your chakras is all you really need to give yourself some much needed energy. The best part is that you do have the power to do this yourself! Remember, anything, any single thing, in any type of motion has to have energy in order to stay in motion — and that includes your body.
In alternative medicine, it is believed that the body’s energy actually flows right through our chakras, and when that flow is disrupted, we can get sick, lackluster, and tired.
So you can see why it is important to make sure that your chakras remained balanced and clear. There are a number of ways you can do this.
Meditation is perhaps one of the best ways. Your energy is made to flow in a very positive direction. In this type of meditation, you have to focus on your blocked chakra path. You should breathe in through your nose and then hold your breath for second seconds. Repeating this will help you get into the right state.
Reiki is helpful in clearing the chakras as well. It can help relieve the pain associated with blocked or disrupted chakras.

To be completely honest, a lot of people do not know that massage is actually something that can really, really help not only your body overall, but it can help your stress levels to be lowered. Massage is definitely one of the oldest and simplest forms of therapy and it is basically all about stroking, kneading and pressing on certain areas of you body in order to relax and relieve any stress or pain that might have built up in your body.
Most often, the neck and shoulders are the ones that most people have problems with and that is where a lot of massage therapists do deep tissue massage. The benefits of deep tissue massage is that it actually gets in there, right into the muscle and makes sure to get all of the knots out of your muscles and improve all sorts of blood circulation.
So indulge yourself once in a while. To be honest, it will improve not only your overall feeling, but you will be able to relax much easier and will not be in pain at all!

To be quite frank, feeling good all of the time is something that a lot of people simply do not experience. While there are times that you should feel better, there are times that you just feel crappy! For those times – especially when your muscles are sore, reiki could actually be the answer to all of your prayers. A lot of people do not understand exactly what reiki is and that is what we are going to explore!
First and foremost, reiki is actually energy healing. The person who is doing the reiki on you is the healer and they actually draw energy into their hands from around them and inside of them. Usually, this materializes and it centers itself on any of the sore muscles that you have or really any diseases. Reiki is something that a lot of doctors do not believe in, but in my experience – it works.
So if you are looking for something alternative to heal you, you should look for someone that does reiki. It is definitely something to try at least!

Depression is still not completely understood, especially with the alteration in the brain chemistry resulting to it. But there are several identifiable triggers for depression.
First, we have stress. There are many possible causes of stress, which can cause or worsen depression.
Then we have trauma. Persons may suffer PTSD or Post – Traumatic Stress Disorder from intense physical or emotional trauma or abuse can lead to long periods of depression and other psychological difficulties.
Reduced sun exposure is said to play a role in depression. There were cases wherein people experience decreased mood during winter months.
Genetics can also be a factor in depression. But it doesn’t mean that you are vulnerable to the problem if you have one or more relatives who suffered the condition.
There are diseases that can cause depression, like hypothyroidism, which is caused by a deficiency of thyroid hormone.
Changes in body levels of some substances can precipitate depression. For instance, when the levels of estrogen in women and testosterone in men decline, they may experience mood swings and depression together with some physiological changes.

The workplace is one of the places that pose the highest dangers to your healthy diet. You may be able to avoid temptations at home, but it’s far more difficult to refuse the sweets, pastries, and office treats brought by clients and fellow officemates. Here are a few tips to dodge temptations in the office and help you stick to your diet:
Bring your own office snack pack.
Having your own snack pack filled with low-calorie but indulgent treats will make it easier for you to resist the fatty cupcakes or choco chip cookies that are available in your office. If you get the urge to snack on something sweet, you can go for the choco chip granola you have in your lunch bag or the Greek yogurt with sweet sprinkles. This way, you’ll still get to satisfy your sweet tooth without putting on the pounds.
