You may not understand if you have never had them, but true insomnia or even slow sleep insomnia can make you feel like you are literally going mad.  </p>
<p>For good reasons, a lot of insomnia sufferers do not want to get started taking sleeping pills; so many of them can be so addictive and the health risks are profound.</p>
<p>There are, fortunately, many alternative and even natural methods to sleep aids, and aromatherapy may well be one of them.</p>
<p>Specific odors are known to draw certain emotions out of the body, or to stimulate the body&#8217;s resources in such a way that treating or even curing certain ailments &#8212; like insomnia &#8212; is possible.</p>
<p>You must remember, however, that aromatherapy will not behave as an aid for sleep; it will not actually make you go to sleep.  It may, however, help your subconscious to deal with the issues or stress factors keeping you awake.</p>
